Outlook 2013 Displays "Need Password" in the bottom right corner but never displays a box once you click on it
I am having an issue where I have multiple exchange mailboxes connected to outlook and I do not always remember to check back and forth with the mailboxes so I do not always see that it is asking for a password. When I first open outlook everything seems to open correctly and the accounts says connected to: Microsoft Exchange. It downloads messages with no problem but from time to time when I switch back and forth between the accounts It shows up in the bottom right corner of the screen saying Need Password. Once I click on Need Password it changes to Connected to: Microsoft Exchange This wouldn't be so bad but it does not update email or calendar while the Need Password is in the bottom right corner. What is causing this and how can it be corrected? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at other posts and none of them seem to fit my circumstance.

Hi,

What version of Exchange server are you using? Do you have any proxy set up?

Do you have all the exchange mailboxes set up in one mail profile?

Does this issue happen with all mailboxes or just a certain one?

Do you have cached Exchange mode enabled? If so, please try switching to online Exchange mode and then check if this issue persists. If the problem would be gone while using online Exchange mode, please try deleting the OST file of the Exchange account and then re-enable cached Exchange mode to see the result.

I have used online exchange mode and tried deleting the ost file and downloading a fresh ost file. I am using Office 365 for my exchange server. The Need Password still pops up and does not give me a prompt for a password just switches to connected to microsoft exchange. I am running office 2013 with outlook 2013. It is one one domain that is having this issue. It bounces back and forth between connected and need password within a couple seconds to a minute. I have also tried to delete the credentials in the credential manager with no success. This happens on more than one computer. I have my account linked to my work computer and my two home computers and all three continue to ask for the password with the need password button in the bottom right. Please let me know what the next steps should be. I appreciate your help and thank you for your time and effort.
